Anything to do with music

Red music H2O This week’s challenge is to put “Any thing to do with music” on you card.  I don’t have any die sets that would work for this challenge so I turned to my Silhouette cutting machine.  Sure enough the Silhouette store had this perfect background for this challenge.

The Steps:

Step 1:  I cut the black background.  I also cut the black and white nesting hearts from a Silhouette file.

Step 2:  I used an Elizabeth Craft Designs die set for the words “Love You”: https://www.elizabethcraftdesigns.com/products/love-sentiments?variant=33591283919 It’s called 1269 – Love Sentiments

Step 3:  The card measures 5.25 x 5.25″.  Score an 8.5′ x 11″ piece of white cardstock at 5.5″ on the long side.  Fold over as a tent fold and trim to the finished size.

Step 4:  Cut a square from red cardstock that measures 5″ x 5″.  Adhere it to the front of the base card, leaving a quarter inch border on all sides.

Step 5:  I cut a black larger scalloped heart and a smaller white heart (also a Silhouette file).  I added a little red PanPastel to the white heart.  Next add the sentiment “Love You”  Add this to the card as shown, because it allows more of the background to me seen where the music notes are.

That’s It!

As always, I really appreciate you stopping by to have a look!

I have been crafting with paper for several yrs. now. I am a single mother of four grown children (2 boys, 2 girls) and a grandmother of 6 (5 girls and 1 boy). I still work as a hairdresser part time at a beautiful retirement community in San Ramon, CA My passions are: gardening, sewing and crafting with paper while watching my favorite TV shows. I have an amazing dog named Shelby who I just can't imagine life without. I hope, with this blog, that I will inspire, teach, prevent costly mistakes in your journey and well, just have a lot of fun creating.
