It’s Sketch Week!

Aug sketch Elephant H2O (2)

I usually like to post the picture of the sketch but for some reason I can’t copy and past from the blog.  However if you’re here you have probably already seen it.  I recently  bought a double set of stamps from amazon for $8.99 for both!  The one I used is the Elephant set for this card.  Here is the link:  Joyful Home

Elephants

I know this is not a good picture of the stamp set.  I didn’t have the stamps  back on the  set lined up right!  This is a two pc. set and the other one is called puppies.  Click on the link above and it will take you to the two stamp sets at Amazon.  You get both for $9.00!

Puppies

Both sets stamp very well as you can see on my card.

The Steps:

Step 1:  Stamp two of the elephants on white cardstock and color with Copic Markers or Color Pencils.  I chose Copics.  I cut them out with a Sizzix Nested Circle die set.

Step 2:  The card measure 5.5″ x 7″.  So score an 8.5″ x  11″ piece of Pink cardstock at 5.5″ on the long side.  Fold over for a book fold card.

Step 3:  Cut two Dotted Scalloped Circles (3rd smallest die) with black cardstock and adhere the elephant circles to these black ones.

Step 4:  I cut a 4 x 7″ Grey print cardstock rectangle.  Then cut a strip from black cardstock the measures 5.5 x 1″.  Adhere the black strip about 1″ from the bottom.  Then adhere the grey print cardstock centered.

Step 5:  Add the two Elephant Circles as shown and a “Happy Birthday” sentiment from Elizabeth Craft Designs: Happy Birthday across the grey rectangle and centered as shown.
