Use your scraps Challenge

Who knew you could put together a cute card in 30 minutes!

This week’s challenge is an opportunity to use your scraps!  I realized that this was just what I needed to remind me to do this more often.  I usually cut out more dies then the project calls for, or different colors since I’m not sure yet.  I store these “extras” in little self seal bags.

Scraps

I had 4 “ladybugs” in one of these bags.  I also was glad I saved these strips leftover from the “Harry Potter” challenge. I used two of the red ones and spaced them far enough  apart to accommodate the  Lady Bugs and Leafy branches.  I used two of the leafy branches to fill the space between them and put the ladybugs on foam dots.

Cuts

The only thing I cut new for this card is the “leafy branch” and “Hugs” from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

The sentiment and little hearts are from a stamp set from Stamps of Life.   The card measures 5.25″ x 7″.

That’s it!  Who knew you could put together a cute card in about 30 minutes!  Yay!

As always, thank you for taking a look and please try this challenge.  It was really fun and you will discover in your stash, things you forgot you saved!

I have been crafting with paper for several yrs. now. I am a single mother of four grown children (2 boys, 2 girls) and a grandmother of 6 (5 girls and 1 boy). I still work as a hairdresser part time at a beautiful retirement community in San Ramon, CA My passions are: gardening, sewing and crafting with paper while watching my favorite TV shows. I have an amazing dog named Shelby who I just can't imagine life without. I hope, with this blog, that I will inspire, teach, prevent costly mistakes in your journey and well, just have a lot of fun creating.
