The first challenge of 2019!

The first challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges is an easy one:  “What’s you favorite type of card to make?  Make one!  My favorite is some kind of an interactive or pop-up card.  My granddaughter’s birthday is Jan. 5th so I made her a cake pop up birthday card.

The die set I used for this card is no longer available but it is 1102 – Cake Pop Up by Karen Burniston.  It’s one of my favorites for birthdays as well as weddings.

To make this card, the hardest part is to choose the designer paper and cardstock you want to use.  The rest is really what the die set does.  So because this die set is no longer available I am going to just give you a list of the other products used:

Elizabeth Craft Designs:  1161 – Happy Birthday, 1034 – Flourishes & Branches (also unavailable,  Clear double sided Adhesive 10mm. and  silver peel off lines

A Way With Words, Happy Birthday 2 - ElizabethCraftDesigns.com

Joanne Fabric and Crafts:  Designer cardstock

Beacons Kids Choice Glue

Sizzix Big Shot Plus

Thanks for taking the time for a look and I hope you’ll join us in this weeks first challenge of the year!

I have been crafting with paper for several yrs. now. I am a single mother of four grown children (2 boys, 2 girls) and a grandmother of 6 (5 girls and 1 boy). I still work as a hairdresser part time at a beautiful retirement community in San Ramon, CA My passions are: gardening, sewing and crafting with paper while watching my favorite TV shows. I have an amazing dog named Shelby who I just can't imagine life without. I hope, with this blog, that I will inspire, teach, prevent costly mistakes in your journey and well, just have a lot of fun creating.
