C4C – Make a CAS card

This card made me think of my friend Carlene!

Elephant 1 H2OElephant 2 inside

In honor of “Use less day”, the challenge is to make a one layer card.  Yay!  Bring out the stamps!  I chose this oldie but goodie set from Inky Antics:

Inky Antics

The whole time I was making this card, I was thinking about my friend Carlene, that I met on a  crafting Facebook page the day they launched it.  We knew immediately we thought the same way about a lot of things.  We have been emailing each other for years now.  One of the things we had in common, is that we both loved and bought several of these stamp sets.  They all come with a stamp that you use on Honey Comb paper and then cut out for the inside of the card.  In this set, it’s the balloon on the inside.  They make a cute card with a little surprise inside and are quick and easy!

In fact, that’s it.  You stamp, color and install the surprise inside and you’re done!

I have been crafting with paper for several yrs. now. I am a single mother of four grown children (2 boys, 2 girls) and a grandmother of 6 (5 girls and 1 boy). I still work as a hairdresser part time at a beautiful retirement community in San Ramon, CA My passions are: gardening, sewing and crafting with paper while watching my favorite TV shows. I have an amazing dog named Shelby who I just can't imagine life without. I hope, with this blog, that I will inspire, teach, prevent costly mistakes in your journey and well, just have a lot of fun creating.

  1. OH WHAT FUN! I’ve always loved this stamp set and its humorous words. The honeycomb paper adds such a POP! I’m so glad we met online. We may be at opposites ends of the country, but your friendship means a LOT to me, too.
