Yep, it’s sketch week!  Always the 3rd Saturday of the month over at: Crazy 4 Challenges

This card is really an easy one to make.  I chose to stamp and color one of my favorite rose stamps from a set by Forever In Time that I bought at the Scrapbook Expo.

2018-08-02-11-23-18.jpgSo that’s the first step:  I stamped the roses and colored with Copic Markers R81, R83,  R85, G2, G5 and G7 on white cardstock.

Step 2:  Cut the image with the 3rd to the largest die in this set from: 1173 – Dotted Scallop Ovals

Step 3: Create a base by scoring a 8.5 x 11″ pc. of white cardstock at 5.5″ on the long side.  Fold over for a book fold card and trim to 5.5 x 7″.

Step 4:  Cut a pc. of designer paper 6.75 x 5.25″ and adhere to the front of the base card.  I chose a green polka dot paper from: Elizabeth Craft Designs  called “Thinking About Polinesia”.

Step 5:  Cut a strip  6.75 x 5.25″ from pink cardstock.  Adhere this pink strip 1.5″ from the top edge of the designer paper.

Step 6:  The pink butterflies are a Silhouette file called “Butterfly Set”.  I sized and cut them from pink cardstock and added Clear Wink of Stella.  Adhere them as shown.

Step 7:  The sentiment is this set from: Elizabeth Craft Designs called “783 – Happy Birthday.  I cut it with the same pink cardstock as the 1” strip.

That’s it!  Quick and Easy!

Thank you so much for taking a look.  This sketch is pretty darn easy, so I hope you’ll take the challenge.  We love to see what your take on this months sketch is.  I will be going to your blog if you have one to see how you made yours!

I have been crafting with paper for several yrs. now. I am a single mother of four grown children (2 boys, 2 girls) and a grandmother of 6 (5 girls and 1 boy). I still work as a hairdresser part time at a beautiful retirement community in San Ramon, CA My passions are: gardening, sewing and crafting with paper while watching my favorite TV shows. I have an amazing dog named Shelby who I just can't imagine life without. I hope, with this blog, that I will inspire, teach, prevent costly mistakes in your journey and well, just have a lot of fun creating.
