This is a smaller Tag die set with a smaller price! LOL A great set to start out with and also includes décor die pcs. you can use with other sets or projects.
The Steps:
Step 1: Create a base card scoring an 8.5 x 11″ at 5.5″ and fold over for a book fold card
Step 2: Using Elizabeth Craft Designs: 952 – Tags & More – Deco tape the die pc. onto the base card with the blade right up against the fold but not on it. This is what will make the “Tag” and card.
Once you’ve run this through your die cutting machine remove the die pc. and trim to the length you want as well as cut the right side. My finished card is 5.5″ long.
Step 3: Open the card base and on the front of the card tape the décor pc. as below:
Step 4: Using the die pc. you already used to make the base card and this little hexagon hole reinforcement die, cut three of the larger and four of little one from yellow cardstock.
On one of the larger die pcs. you just cut, tape the decorator pc. to it matching up the holes.
Step 5: Using Elizabeth Craft Designs 1537 -Stitched Hexagons
Cut the smallest and 2nd smallest dies in the set from black, white, red and yellow.
Step 6: With these two die sets below, make both Ladybugs and both Bees.
With this this die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs : 730 – Curvy Leaves (currently out of stock) but is optional anyway, I cut two each of the two smaller dies :
I cut this die twice, once in red and once in yellow. Adhere the yellow over the red slightly offset. Elizabeth Craft Designs: 1285 – Smile (also out of stock)
You should now have a pile of elements that look like this.:
step 6: The Fun Step: Start putting it all together. First adhere the two yellow pcs. to the inside of the card:
Next stamp the sentiment you choose on the inside. I chose a couple of stamps from Elizabeth Craft Designs “Bee Sentiments”:
Now add a yellow hexagon hole reinforcement lining up the holes.
Step 7: Assemble the “Hexagons and bee/lady bug combo that you like and start adhering to the front of the card as shown:
Add a couple of gross grain red ribbon ties and that’s it! I also sometimes like to decorate the back of my cards and I felt this one needed it.
Thank you so much for taking a look today and I hope that it inspired you to look at some of your die collection for extra ways to use them.
