You’re so sweet!

2018-05-05 You're sweet

Today I’m sharing a card over at the DiesRUs Inspiration Blog.  I created it for a thank you card.  So let’s make this card.

The Steps:

Step 1:  Using this die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs – 1063 – Fitted Frames 3 – Curvy Rectangles:

Cut this die once from white cardstock.  You will use the 3 largest frames.  Save the little circles from 3rd largest frame and color yellow with Copic Y08.  Color the second to the largest frame black.  I used Copic marker 100 Black.

Step 2:  Using this die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs – 1149 – Strawberries  Cut the leaves from green cardstock.  Cut the silhouette piece from yellow cardstock.  Cut the overlay pc. from white cardstock and color with red ink and a foam dauber or cut from red cardstock.  I colored with Hampton Art red ink.

Step 3:  Make a base card that measures 5 x 6.25″.  I used this paper pack from Joann’s Fabric and Crafts Store:

Score at 5.5″ on the long side and fold over.   This card is a top fold card.  Trim to 5.5 x 6″.

Step 4:  Cut a pc. of black cardstock in a rectangle that measures 4 x 5.25″.  Out of the same patterned cardstock cut a rectangle that measures 4.25 x 3″.

Step 5:  Adhere the black rectangle to the base card centering it.   You will have 1/2″ margin on all 4 sides.  Adhere the large white frame on top of the black rectangle.  Next adhere the black frame inside of the large white frame matching up the curves.

Step 6:  Adhere the last frame to the 4.25 x 3″ patterned rectangle.  Glue the yellow circles back into the white frame.

Step 7:  Assemble the strawberries and adhere to the center of the card.  I added the little white flowers from this die set 1181 – Pinwheel:

Step 8:  Create the sentiment on your computer and cut out with the second to the smallest die from this set and add to the card as shown:
