C4C – 412 Sketch Week!

                   2017-10-31 C4C 412

This weeks Sketch Challenge is an easy and fun one.  There’s so many images, dies, stamps and even shakers that would be cute in those circles!  Since I’m working on Christmas cards, I chose ornaments!

The Steps:

Step 1:  Make the 3 ornaments.  I used Peel Off Stickers from Elizabeth Craft Designs:

Peel the outlines of the same ornament in all 3 colors and adhere to white cardstock.  Then fill in the décor areas with pieces of all 3 colors anyway you like.  Now fussy cut out each finished ornament.  You can even color these stickers with Copics.

Step 2:  Cut a rectangle from black cardstock that measures 4″ x 6″.  Using the below embossing folder by Elizabeth Craft Designs called “Sprigs” emboss this rectangle:

Using PanPastel’s 920.5 Silver, apply to the raised  pine “Sprigs”.  Very lightly, spray these two pcs. with hair spray.  Cut this pc. in half creating two rectangles that measure 2.5″ x 5″.

Step 3:  Cut a rectangle from white cardstock that measures 2.5″ x 5.5″.  Emboss this rectangle using this folder from Sizzix:

The below picture shows the elements of the card:

Step 4:  Create the base card by scoring an 8.5″ x 11″ pc. of red cardstock at 5.5″ on the long side.  Trim card to 5.5″ x 7″.

Step 5:  Assemble the card.  Adhere the two embossed black pcs. to the front as shown.  Using  Silver mat lines peel off stickers from Elizabeth Craft Designs,  outline the two black sprig pcs.  Apply a Peel Off Glitter Dot from Elizabeth Craft Designs in                Black glitter/silver to the corners to cover the seams

.Adhere the white embossed pc. over the two black ones as shown.  Outline this pc. this piece with silver/black glitter Peel Off lines.  (I actually used the negative strips of silver that sort of looks like a “postage stamp edge”.  See above pic.)

Using Dimensional Foam Dots, adhere the Ornaments as shown.  Make 3 black/white polka dot organza ribbon bows and hot glue on top of the ornaments.

That’s It!

Thank you so much for taking a look.  I love to read your comments and hope that you’ll try this project.  We would love it if you take the challenge!  We want to see how you interpret this sketch!
