This weeks challenge is to make a card with lots of layers. I had a request to make a sympathy card. I wanted to make a feminine card.
Step 1: Cut a piece of white cardstock that measures 5 x 7″. Emboss this rectangle using the Spellbinders 3D folder below:
With Black PanPastel and a dauber, rub the embossed area but not the flat oval.
Step 2: Cut the lacy oval frame using the below die set from white cardstock:
Use the outside (largest) die, the lacy oval and the largest of the plain ovals. Line them up and tape (with removable tape) to white cardstock and run through cutting machine. Adhere this lacy pc. to the oval on the embossed layer.
Step 3: Stamp the sentiment in the center of the lacy oval as shown using this stamp set by KaiserCraft:
Step 4: Using the below die set, cut all the pieces out of white cardstock twice. Shape all the pieces and assemble the rose directly to the left of the oval as shown on the card.
Step 5: Cut two of this Butterfly Border from Cheapo Dies.
Using Wink of Stella Clear, add glitter to the “butterfly” only of one pc. Now glue the non glittered one over the glittered one offsetting just a tiny bit. Glue the two layer butterfly pc. to the bottom of the oval as shown on the card. Add a white ribbon bow. The three little butterflies on the right are a Silhouette file. Use the same Wink of Stella around the edges of the 3 little butterflies.
Step 6: With 10mm Double Sided Adhesive from Elizabeth Craft Designs, adhere the completed embossed and decorated pc. to a black base card the measures 7.5 x 5.5″ finished.
Step 7: Outline the embossed pc. with silver Peel Off Stickers below:
