I LOVE SKETCH WEEK!  Yes, I am shouting because the layout has already been decided for you.  For me, the sketch itself inspires me because I immediately think of the products I have that would be cute with this layout.

Two of my favorite die sets are these two from Joset’s Designs for Elizabeth Craft Designs:

Plus, I had this paper pad from Martha Stewart that was screaming for this die set!  I had also just got the pad on the right:

The Steps:

Step 1:  Die cut all the pieces from both of the above sets.  The little “ginger bread boy” in the apron pocket was fussy cut from the designer paper.  I added a little Copic E23 to the mixing bowl, spatula, and rolling pin. The wire whisk was colored with Panpastel 921.5 Pewter.

Step 2:  Cut an Oval from white cardstock using this die set:

Step 3:  Adhere all the pieces you cut in step 1 to the oval piece.

Step 4:  Create the base card by scoring an 8.5 x 11″ sheet of white cardstock at 5.5″ on the long side.  Fold and trim to 5.5″ x 7″.

Step 5:  Cut 4 rectangles 2 x 3 1/8″.  Two of both designer papers.  Adhere the 4 rectangles as pictured in the sketch. Add Peel Off stickers “Lines” by Elizabeth Craft Designs in silver that I colored red with Copic R29.  Outline the “rectangles” as shown.  Adhere the oval decorated pc. centered over the rectangle pcs.

Step 6:  Cut the “Season’s greetings” sentiment from the below die from white cardstock and then added “A Wink of Stella” Clear to give the sentiment a sugary look.

That’s it!

Other Products Used:

Sizzix Big Shot Plus

Beacons Kid Choice Glue

Thank you so much for taking a look.  Please let me know if you were here by leaving a comment.  I love to read each and every one

I have been crafting with paper for several yrs. now. I am a single mother of four grown children (2 boys, 2 girls) and a grandmother of 6 (5 girls and 1 boy). I still work as a hairdresser part time at a beautiful retirement community in San Ramon, CA My passions are: gardening, sewing and crafting with paper while watching my favorite TV shows. I have an amazing dog named Shelby who I just can't imagine life without. I hope, with this blog, that I will inspire, teach, prevent costly mistakes in your journey and well, just have a lot of fun creating.
