C4C 400 A card to cheer someone up

2017-08-09 C4C Coffee & Chocolate

Since it’s back to school for a lot of teachers and students we thought it would be a good idea to make a card to cheer someone up this week on Crazy4Challenges.  What always cheers me up is chocolate and ice cream.  The cheering up for this card is the sentiment inside.

The Steps:

Step 1:  Make all the elements for the card.  I used these die sets from Joset Designs for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I cut everything out of White Soft Finish Cardstock by Elizabeth Craft Designs except for all the peach decorator pieces and colored them with Copic Markers.  Then I assembled them.

Step 2:  Make the base card by first creating the sentiment for the inside on your computer. Then score this printed pc. 0f 8.5 x 11″ pc. of white cardstock at 5.5″ on the long side.  Trim to 5.5 x 7″.

Cut a mat that measures 5.25 x 6.75″ out of designer paper. I purchased this paper from Recollections at Michaels Craft Store.

Adhere this piece to the front of your card base (centered).  Using Elizabeth Craft DesignsPeel off Stickers”  silver lines stick a line of these on all 4 sides as shown on the card:

Step 3:  Cut a mat using the largest rectangle from this set out of peach cardstock.  Adhere this mat centered to the card on top of the designer paper.:

Adhere this pc. to the front of your card.  It will nest perfectly.  Now glue the assembled cake stand with cupcakes, ice cream cone and coffee cup to the front of the card as shown.

That’s it!

Thank you so much for taking the time for a look.  Let me know if you have any questions.  I answer every comment personally.

I have been crafting with paper for several yrs. now. I am a single mother of four grown children (2 boys, 2 girls) and a grandmother of 6 (5 girls and 1 boy). I still work as a hairdresser part time at a beautiful retirement community in San Ramon, CA My passions are: gardening, sewing and crafting with paper while watching my favorite TV shows. I have an amazing dog named Shelby who I just can't imagine life without. I hope, with this blog, that I will inspire, teach, prevent costly mistakes in your journey and well, just have a lot of fun creating.
