C4C 392 weekly card challenge

Bird w girl hello

C4C 392

This week on Crazy 4 Challenges the challenge was to make a card with something you would see in a park.  I had this adorable digital stamp from Miss Daisy Stamps for awhile.  So I colored her up for this project.  Below is the stamp colored.

Step 1:  Print out the image and color her with Copic Markers.  Then I trimmed the colored image down to 4.75″ x 4.75″.

Step 2:  Using a stencil called “Cloud and Grass”  by Susan Tierney Cockburn for Elizabeth Craft Designs I colored a background:

Step 3:  To make her in a park,  I cut two tree trunks from Karen Burniston’s 781 – All Seasons Tree for Elizabeth Craft Designs out of white cardstock.  I cut two 1033 – Leafy Branch from Els van de Burgt for Elizabeth Craft Designs.  Both the trees and leafy branches were cut from white cardstock then colored with Copic Markers.

I gave the leaves dimension by making a vein using Susan Tierney Cockburns “Tool Kit”.

Step 4:  The iron fence was also cut from white cardstock using Estate Fence by Memory Box.  I colored it black with Copic Marker 100.

The two “grass pieces”  were cut from white cardstock using a decorator die pc. from Karen Burniston’s 780 – Garden Bench and also colored with Copics.

Step 5:  Cut the base card from Elizabeth Craft Designs  white 12 x 12″ Soft Finish Cardstock.  Cut the cardstock in half  (12 x 6″)  and score at 6″ on the long side.  I stamped the inside with a stamp from Karen Burniston’s  Just A Note clear stamps I stamped the “HELLO” (on the front) and on the inside of the card, ENJOY your day.:

I colored both with a Copic Marker.  I cut the “Hello” banner with the second smallest banner die from Gina Marie Designs Stitched Banners.

Step 6:  From Blue cardstock I cut a square that measures 5 x 5.5″.  Adhere the stamped and colored image piece to the blue mat.  Now adhere all the rest of the die cut elements to the card as shown.  (I trimmed the trees here and there to make them fit).

That’s it!

Thanks so much for taking a look at this project.  Please follow and comment.  I answer all questions personally.
