It’s been a while since I could find the time to craft, never mind write about it. I’ll be working full time at the beauty salon for another 6 weeks until my bus. partner gets back from healing a broken leg.
I have received some new craft toys from Elizabeth Craft Designs recently while at the same time needing to be able to make a quick card for one of the salon customers. Below are 3 of my new toys:
The “Bees” die set comes with two options for wings. I just chose to use just the one with the wings open as in flight. The set that is called “Bead Strings 1” is one set of several that Elizabeth Craft Designs makes that are what I would call decoration dies. They add texture and interest and can be used many ways. As in the picture of the product each string can also be glammed up with jewels.
I just love this “Daisy” die. I didn’t get it for a long time because I had a daisy die that has the more realistic look because the petals all move freely. I didn’t see the need for two and I wanted too many other new toys. But after seeing other peoples projects with this die set I thought I’d break down and get it. Now, that I have it, I could kick myself for waiting so long. I love this set not only because of how beautiful it is but it’s also so quick to make!
I die cut all the elements from those three sets from white “Soft finish cardstock” from ECD and then colored them with Copic Markers with the exception of the beads string borders that were cut from the reverse side of the designer paper.
The last new toy is one I also waited to get but now have it. It’s really going to be fun to make matching “Card Easels” for my cards. Here below is a picture of this die.
The designer paper I used for the stand as well as the background mat is from a paper stack by KC and Company and is double sided.
The other two mats were cut with Spellbinders “A2 Matting Basics”
Thanks for taking a look and I hope you’ll come back soon.
Love your new toys and what you did with them. Great card, Kathleen.
